Introduction
Welcome to the second edition of the Nikola Tesla Conference newsletter series, unfortunately this will be the last one unless someone else has a few more ideas for me to write about in another newsletter. I will resume writing about the usual things about next week when i finish work on this edition.
This edition will be slightly shorter with only about 4 articles:
Rada Komazec, a beautiful and tearful letter to Nikola Tesla
Lara Karalić, a ninth grader from Banja Luka who won an essay contest on the topic of “Why did Nikola Tesla always write in Cyrillic”
Bryan Yeltzer and Yeltzer Studios, a revolutionary app and a magnetic chess set
and last but not least a short article to recognize all the hard work Jelena Ivanjac has put into making the Nikola Tesla conference possible
Lara Karalić
We always forget how kids have the power to create amazing things. That high school students might be the next Ivo Andrić or maybe the next Nikola Tesla.
Lara is one of these kids, despite her young age she has an astounding amount of talent. Lara’s essay on “why Nikola Tesla wrote only in cyrilic” was written so well I thought a university student had written it not a 9th grader from Banja Luka. The Nikola Tesla conference truly surprised me with the amount of talent young children can have. Lara, keep wring never stop, hopefully I’ll see you next year, reading another essay making Aleksa Šantić and Ivo Andrić smile up in heaven.
Bryan Yeltzer
Brian Yetzer is an award-winning augmented reality experience designer and educator, specializing in creating engaging customer experiences and branded business applications. He is a pioneer in multimedia and AR design, contributing to museums, educational institutions, and businesses in North America and Europe. With a diverse creative background in sketching, animation, photography, 3D printing, and interaction design, Brian's team excels in crafting optimized digital experiences that combine creativity with analytics. When I went to stop by Bryans table and see his magnetic chess set and all the art he was displaying, I was instantly amazed with the creativity and professionalism of all his work. He explained to me his innovative Chess set and his interesting 3d artworks, he even handed he small posters that are connected to an app. Bryan Yeltzer has done so much work making sure future generations remember all the contributions tesla made. Him and many others are working hard every day to make sure future generations are as innovative and intelligent as tesla.
Jelena Ivanjac
I just wanted to write a short thank you note to all the work Jelena has accomplished. Jelena you have done so much for the conference and I truly believe not that many people noticed how many panels you were leading or how much behind the scenes work you did organizing the conference. You truly have put so much time and effort into the Nikola Tesla conference helping the children of the future so much you couldn’t even imagine.
Rada Komazec
The film Letter to Tesla sparked a wave of emotions at the Nikola Tesla Conference in New York, organized by the Tesla Science Foundation. Rada was awarded the prestigious Crystal Trophy for its efforts in expanding Tesla clubs in the Balkan region and preserving valuable educational connections with countries worldwide. Rada’s letter to Tesla was very heartfelt and emotional, her letter really showed Tesla’s love for his people and that he never forgot he was a Serb. Nikola Tesla may have lived most of his life hopping around hotels in New York being scared to drink water, because of the bacteria. But Nikola Tesla was always Serbian at heart, he’s still Serbian today and he will be Serbian forevermore. Thank you Rada for writing such a beautiful letter and reading it to us at the Nikola Tesla Conference.
Jelena and Mihajlo
I’m linking a GoFundMe about a single mom Jelena and her son Mihajlo, Jelena has had cancer multiple times and is going through a rough time. She’s living right now with her son on social support and donations. It would mean so much to me if you would donate. There is more information in the GoFundMe link. So far we’ve raised 10,000 dollars. https://www.gofundme.com/f/pomozimo-majci-i-sinupotresna-prica-jelene-i-mihaila
Conclusion
Thank you for reading my newsletter I would be very grateful if you would subscribe and leave a like. I plan on writing more about Tesla in the future and if you subscribe you will get an email when it comes out. I would make my day if you refer this newsletter to someone else, maybe a friend or coworker.
Writing about the Nikola tesla conference was a lot of fun and it was really interesting to learn and research about all these people. All these people working so hard to make sure Nikola Tesla’s memory lives on makes me so happy, all the Tesla club presidents all the behind the scenes work, anyone that has helped his memory live on.
