Hello everyone,
I thought I'd start an email newsletter to pass the time and have some fun with writing. You’re probably wondering what this newsletter is all about. Well, my plan is to share whatever is on my mind, as well as updates on my recent KDP venture, where I’ve begun selling notebooks. So far, I’ve made one sale of an IEP notebook for teachers (link to the notebooks below).
Netflix shows to watch right now!
Squid Game Season 2 has captured the attention of audiences worldwide. The second season of the hit show was released just a few weeks ago on December 26th, and people are embracing it with enthusiasm. From creating djakii with spare paper to firing up stoves to make the iconic dalgona candy, fans are fully immersed in the Squid Game experience.
At first, I thought Americans might not be as interested in foreign-language shows, but it turns out the opposite is true. Many people here in the U.S. are flocking to their couches to binge-watch this epic series. Personally, I loved the first season of Squid Game, and when I heard there was going to be a sequel on Netflix, I couldn’t contain my excitement. One of my favorite moments was the "mingle game." The song was so catchy and cheerful, despite the game's dark and depressing nature.
In an unexpected twist, Netflix accidentally revealed the release date for season 3 in one of their YouTube videos. Although the video has since been removed, many people saw it before it was taken down. Mark your calendars, because Squid Game season 3 is set to premiere this summer, on June 27th.
So far, some of the predicted new games for season 3 include Jack and Jill, human chess, and monkey bars. We learned about these games through the drawings on the walls behind the beds, as well as clues from Netflix.
If you're interested in making dalgona candy, learning how to fold djakii, or buying your own gongii set, I'll link a few helpful videos down below.
Recent Reads
I’m not usually an avid reader, but a good book always hits the spot. Right now, I’m reading Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa, and so far, I’m really enjoying it. If you're into anime, I think this book is a perfect fit for you. I also recently finished The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and it was fantastic. The story kept me on the edge of my seat with its intriguing characters and captivating plot twists. It’s a mystery with just a hint of drama. You can find links to both books at the bottom of the page.
KDP business
I’ve recently designed and published my own notebooks on Amazon KDP. So far, I’ve released a notebook about Mostar, Bosnia, one about New York, an IEP teacher meeting book, and a notebook about Tesla’s 369 method. Designing these notebooks and publishing them on Amazon has been a lot of fun, and I’m excited to create even more in the future.
The notebooks went live on Amazon on January 2nd, and so far, I’ve made one sale (the IEP teacher meeting notebook). I’ve also ordered a few author copies to sell at the Nikola Tesla Convention in New York. I’m hopeful that sales will pick up as I publish more notebooks and they’ve been available on Amazon for a little while. If you'd like to support me, please consider ordering one of these notebooks or subscribing to my weekly newsletter.
Recipe ideas to try
Banana Nut Muffins: Banana nut muffins always taste delicious and are versatile enough to enjoy for breakfast or as a dessert.
Date Energy Balls: Date energy balls are a healthier alternative to sugary desserts. While they may not be low in calories or fat, they satisfy your sweet tooth wonderfully.
eBay reselling
Recently, I’ve started selling my old clothes, books, video games, and board games on eBay. Personally, I’ve had a lot of success with the platform—I’ve shipped over 18 orders and made about $220 in profit. eBay doesn’t take up much of your time, but it does come with quite a few fees. While getting started on eBay can be frustrating, watching a few YouTube tutorials and shipping your first item makes the process much easier.
On the other hand, Facebook Marketplace takes more time and effort, but it has no fees and you don’t have to worry about shipping. I tend to use Facebook Marketplace for higher-priced items, like dresses or video game consoles, but for smaller items, such as a $5 comic, it’s not really worth the hassle.
